The debut of the phygital on ManilART’s stage bridges the gap between digital and traditional spaces. Digital artworks are minted as Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs) which are valued as extensions or digital prints of the physical piece. Ownership of these NFTs is tied to the blockchain in the form of a crypto work that enables itself to be valued and traded in virtual art galleries and crypto markets.

Figurative, abstract, kinetic, conceptual, and thought-provoking artworks by respected artists adorn the entire space of the SMX Convention Center.

For the yet to be initiated, Manilart is currently the country's largest visual arts fair, bringing over 40 different art galleries and their respective artists together once a year for a showcase that spans five days.

There were art enthusiasts who headed straight to Leon Gallery's booth that featured masters such as Fernando Amorsolo, Vicente Manansala and José Joya at the ManilArt 2014 annual fair held in Taguig City until Sunday. A New York-based couple that transferred recently to Manila heeded friends who suggested they ask around first before investing in a painting and have their art fix.
